About Us

Educate Haiti, Inc., has oversight by its board of directors, who make sure that donations are spent as the corporation dictates and consistent with donor wishes. Many current board members of Educate Haiti have been involved in education much of their lives with decades of teaching experience spanning the full range of student ages from preschool through college. We value education and have witnessed firsthand what it can do to further individuals’ lives. Our collective experiences are reflected tuition, books, supplies, well in Educate Haiti’s values.

Over 97% of the funds raised by Educate Haiti, Inc., go toward the education of Haitian children, covering teachers’ and administrators’ salaries, tuition, and school lunch, as well as capital projects, including buildings, solar power, and computer labs. The board and our Haitian partners agree on the projects that should be funded and then solicit donations to achieve these goals. Yearly visits to Haiti by board members and volunteers offer the opportunity to audit the spending and to document successes that have been attained through donations.

This not-for-profit corporation is incorporated in the state of Indiana. with 501(c)(3) status under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. As a result, donations in support of Educate Haiti are tax deductible.
